Lyrics Look inside that black moving cage
Six pumping hearts filled with rage
Twelve angry eyes exchange stares
As the driver screams of hate
These are the people supposed to protect
Same people that demand your respect
Billy club and gun in their hands
Respect is something you don’t deserve
Their teeth are already asleep
As they march towards the streets
Now Here they come
Don't you dare to resist
Your family and friends
Down after every single hit
Get ready to feel
The weight of the hammer
Of unjustified
Abuse of power
Falling over your head
“But is forbidden above the hip” - You've heard
No prisoners
Will those bastards take
How bad I want you to feel pain
To paint you with a bloodstain
Unarmed, you and us
Face to face
Fuck your academy
Fuck your guns
Fuck your nonsense
Fuck police brutality
Amplify - Asturias, Spain
Hardcore punk rock band from Asturies, Spain.
We release our first album "Deadlines" a couple of years ago featuring one song called "The Hand That Hits". This song talks about how the antiriot police operates in our country, how they are untouchable by the law and how there have been reports of them doing their violent actions under the effects of cocaine and so. So we think that might be a good song for the comp.
Formed by the end of 2017 in Asturias (Spain), Amplify is melodic hardcore band that has been
deeply influenced, in terms of sound, way of composing and message to share, by bands such as
Propagandhi, NOFX, Lagwagon, Belvedere or Strike Anywhere. Since the band started, they have
played shows all over Spain and have shared the stage with great national and international bands
like NOFX, La Armada, Adrenalized, Satanic Surfers and No Fun at All. Amplify is an ambitious band and plans to make their first European tour for 2020, just as they plan to keep playing shows around Spain. The band has already participated in the 2019’s edition of the Tsunami Xixón Festival, and played in French turf (Toulouse 2019). Amplify is currently writing new music for what will become their third album.
