Kroovy Rookers

Oi Oi Oi! We are beyond stoked to have our Northern Brothers Kroovy Rookers on the first volume of our compilation series. If you have never heard of them before then definitely give these boys a listen! These Canadian punks mean serious fucking business!!! Check out their song "Road Blocks" and if ya dig what ya hear make sure to give the rest of their discography a spin you won't be disappointed! Kroovy Rookers - Road Blocks 01:53

“Bloody Arms” is what you’d call these guys once translated from Nadsat. After four years as a part of the Boston Oi! scene, Rod Rooker moved back to his hometown of Red Deer, Alberta, in 2004 where him and Mike “Rowdy” Rooker started Kroovy Rookers. After a move to Edmonton, and a few different bassists, and 16 years, Mikey D Rooker is now the band’s man in charge of the low end. Playing their old school style of punk inspired by the likes of Motorhead, GBH, and Discharge, Kroovy Rookers have had the privilege of sharing the stage with classic punk bands like UK Subs, The Vibrators, and The Business, as well as Canadian originators SNFU, DOA, and Nomeansno. They’ve toured all over western Canada and, with a new album on the horizon, aim to bring the noise to eastern Canada and Europe soon. https://kroovyrookers1.bandcamp.com/

The tracks on this reverbnation are uncut demos from the "No More Boring Crap" EP...recorded way back in 2006. And now the story begins... Kroovy Rookers formed in Red Deer Alberta in May of 2004. Vocalist / Guitarist Rod Rooke..
