The Harakiris - Yourself Betrayed

Straight up. This album will kick your fucking ass. Don't say you were not warned Yourself Betrayed is The Harakiris the first full-length album and it absolutely shreds. The record kicks off with a killer track titled Wasteland that helps foreshadow what insanity will follow. This album is an anthem to chaos that I personally could listen to every fucking day. This is some of the best hardcore skate punk out there. If you ever get a chance to see these guys live don't miss out! - 1312

Hardcore/Skate-punk out of Knoxville, Tennessee

The Harakiris are a hardcore punk band formed in 2013 in Knoxville, TN by drummer Danny Tindell (The Speed Wobbles, La Basura Del Diablo, The Booze Hounds) and bassist Forrest McCorkle (American Trust, Infucktionz).

Brought together by a common interest in beer and punk rock and influenced by bands like Propagandi, K.P.F., Good Riddance, and Grimple they started slamming out loud, fast punk rock.

Once they recruited great man and singer/guitarist Will McDonald (The Speed Wobbles), the trio wrote an easy albums worth of material while searching for the right vocalist. Josh Martin joined the band, bringing his pointed lyrics and raspy energetic vocal style, in late 2013.

While preparing to record their first album and before their debut performance the band suffered a tragic loss. Will McDonald tragically passed away in January of 2014.

The three remaining members were determined to continue in spite of the loss and to preserve the memory and music of their great friend and musical partner 'Swill' Will McDonald.

After a period of grief and confusion McCorkle approached friend and guitarist Jer Pitkanen (Dean's List Dropouts). Jer brought his signature sound to their songs helping the band evolve without compromising their thrash punk roots.

During 2014 the band stayed busy playing shows in their hometown and throughout the southeast while recording and re-recording their debut album, released in early 2015.

Throughout 2015 the band continued to tour and promote with great success. Near the end of 2015 the band decided to add a second guitarist to bring a more dynamic sound.

Shawn "Rev" Kalord (The Disobedients, The Sporks, Death Warrant) joined in summer of 2015 bringing crunchy rhythm tones and a stronger band dynamic.

With the addition of a second guitar the band set out to record a new EP set to be released in mid 2016.

They're loud, aggressive, in your face hardcore punk rockers and some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Besides the drummer. That guy's a dick.
